

The William J. King, Sr. Health & Safety Training Institute serves as the Association’s training division. The Institute provides both training for internal staff as well private citizens and other EMS providers.
For its community members, the Institute offers courses in CPR and first aid, babysitting, and childcare provider certification. The Institute will also frequently take its community training programs on the road to provide training for various companies and organizations at their facilities.
For its internal staff, the Institute offers programs for new member orientation, emergency vehicle operations, officer leadership development, and continuing medical education including CPR and bloodborne/airborne pathogens.
The Institute also serves its emergency medical services (EMS) partners by providing initial and refresher programs for the Medical Response Technician (first responder), Emergency Medical Technician-Basic and Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate certifications.
The Regional Training Center at Seymour Ambulance Association provides a site for both internal training for Seymour Ambulance Association members, and also a location for classes that reach out to other communities.
