On May 22nd, 2016, Seymour Ambulance Members; Colleen Flood, Lea Zwally and James Smith were transporting a patient to an area hospital when they came upon a severe motorcycle accident in the area of RT8 in Shelton. Immediately realizing the need for life-saving interventions, the crew began to provide emergent care to both patients involved in the accident until the arrival of Shelton EMS and Valley EMS who continued care and transported the patients to the hospital.

This past Monday, August 1st, 2016, all three Seymour Ambulance crew members as well as those from Shelton and Valley EMS were awarded a certificate of excellence in pre-hospital care from Bridgeport Hospital. They were awarded this certificate because without their expert care and quick interventions, a young females life would have been lost. Seymour Ambulance is very proud to have members like this apart of our association.

Job well done!
